REVIVALIST APP PRIVACY POLICY
Effective date: July 16, 2026
Revivalist Ministries ("we," "us," or "our") operates the Revivalist mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains what information the App collects, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
1. WHO WE ARE
Revivalist Ministries is a nonprofit Christian youth ministry. The App exists to serve attendees of our conferences and events, including the Vertical conferences, and to provide ministry content such as Scripture reading, worship resources, and event information.
If you have any questions about this policy or your data, contact us at events@revivalistministries.com.
2. INFORMATION WE COLLECT
We collect only what the App needs to function. Specifically:
Account information. When you create an account, we collect your first name, last name, and email address. If you choose "Sign in with Apple," we receive your name and email address (or Apple's private relay email, if you choose to hide your address) from Apple.
Content you create. If you take notes during a conference using the App's Notes feature, those notes are stored so they can sync across your sessions and be emailed to you after the conference. Your notes are private to your account: they are protected so that only you can read or change them.
Notification preferences. Your choices about which notifications you want (for example, daily verse notifications or updates about specific events) are stored so we can honor them.
Device and technical information. To deliver notifications and lock-screen Live Activities, we collect a push notification token and, during conferences, a Live Activity token issued by Apple for your device. We also generate a random device identifier and record your device model so notifications reach the right device.
Diagnostic information. The App uses a crash-reporting service (Sentry) to help us find and fix problems. Diagnostic reports may include your device model, operating system version, app version, technical logs about what the App was doing when a problem occurred, and an approximate location (such as city and country) inferred from your IP address by the crash-reporting service. Diagnostic reports do not include the content of your notes.
Guest use. You can use most of the App without creating an account. Guest sessions use an anonymous identifier that is not connected to your name or email address.
3. INFORMATION WE DO NOT COLLECT
We want to be clear about what the App does not do. The App does not collect your precise location and does not request location permissions. It does not access your contacts, photos, camera, or microphone. It does not show advertising, does not use advertising trackers, does not track you across other companies' apps or websites, and does not sell your information to anyone, ever.
4. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION
We use the information described above to: create and manage your account and sign you in; sync and back up your conference notes and email them to you after a conference ends; send you the notifications you have opted into, such as a daily Bible verse or event updates; display live conference information on your lock screen (Live Activities) during events you have checked into; respond to your questions and support requests; and find and fix technical problems with the App.
We do not use your information for advertising or marketing profiles, and we do not sell or rent it to third parties.
5. SERVICE PROVIDERS WE USE
Like most apps, we rely on a small number of trusted service providers to operate. Each receives only what it needs to do its job, and each is required to protect your data:
Supabase — hosts our database and provides account sign-in. Your account information, notes, and notification preferences are stored here, protected by access rules so each user can only access their own data.
Apple — provides "Sign in with Apple" and delivers push notifications and Live Activities through Apple's notification service.
Expo — helps deliver push notifications and app updates.
Sentry — provides crash and error reporting, as described in Section 2.
Google (Gmail) — delivers our account sign-in code emails and post-conference notes emails.
Crossway (ESV API) — provides the Bible text shown in the App. Requests to this service do not include your name, email, or account information.
We do not share your personal information with any other third parties except if required by law or to protect the safety of our users.
6. HOW LONG WE KEEP YOUR INFORMATION
We keep your account information, notes, and preferences for as long as your account exists. Push notification and Live Activity tokens are kept only while they are valid and are deactivated when they expire or when you delete your account. Diagnostic reports are retained by our crash-reporting service for a limited period and then deleted automatically.
7. DELETING YOUR DATA
You are in control of your data:
Delete your account in the App. Go to Profile → Delete Account. This permanently deletes your account along with your notes, notification preferences, and device tokens from our systems. If any step of that deletion fails, the App will not proceed with a partial deletion — your data is removed completely or not at all, so nothing is left orphaned.
Email us. You may also request deletion of your data at any time by emailing events@revivalistministries.com from the email address on your account, and we will complete your request promptly.
You can withdraw consent for notifications at any time using the toggles in the App's Profile screen or in your device's Settings, and you can stop all data collection by deleting your account and the App.
8. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY
The App and our conferences are intended for individuals 14 years of age and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child under 13 has created an account or provided personal information through the App, please contact us at events@revivalistministries.com and we will promptly delete that information.
9. SECURITY
We take reasonable measures to protect your information. Data is transmitted using encryption (HTTPS), stored with a reputable hosting provider, and protected by access rules that restrict each user's data to that user. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information using industry-standard practices.
10. YOUR RIGHTS
Regardless of where you live, you may ask us: what personal information we hold about you; to correct information that is inaccurate; or to delete your information (see Section 7). To exercise any of these rights, email events@revivalistministries.com. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any privacy right.
11. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
If we make material changes to this Privacy Policy, we will update the effective date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you within the App. Your continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
